Gross Misconduct stands for all the actions that result in immediate firing within the organization. These inappropriate and unaccaptable behaviours are defined by the company itself and not by law. It’s presence is crucial on one hand for the person who commits these, to know what are the definite boundaries within the workplace and to be aware of the consequences. On the other hand, it’s also important for the ones who have to face these from others so they know they should report them and can feel secure.

Examples to such behaviours are sexual harrassment, racism, sexism, and other form of misconduct.
