WHAT YOU WILL DO

Scope of the Job

Are you passionate about design and visual trends? Do you love to own concepts and are motivated by growing and evolving in your role? Then keep reading. We’re looking for a graphic design working student to join our Marketing & Communications Team. 

 As a Graphic Design Working Student you will support our Communications & Marketing team in creating beautiful design solutions within a fast moving, agile environment. You are empathetic, have great organisational skills and an ability to understand how to make a complex product look and feel great with simple solutions. You have a passion for graphic design and visual arts, and you are great at communicating your design choices. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Create and communicate concepts ideas from first moods to final deliverables.  

  • Apply visual consistency and continuity of brand across a variety of deliverables.   

  • Apply your design skills, creativity and knowledge to create visual assets such as icons and illustrations for our brand. 

  • Experiment with graphics in the 4th dimension by creating simple yet engaging animations.  

  • Work closely with other departments and external partners advocating for Fernride design guidelines and brand identity with confidence.  

  • Collaborate with other teams from product and operations to HR and engineering to create engaging print and digital materials. 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 

  • Excellent skills in InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite tools and are comfortable designing (and sometimes prototyping) with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch. 

  • Some first experience and interest in motion graphics.  

  • Passion for design and visual trends, understanding different format and content requirement of various channels. 

  • You enjoy being part of collaborative cross-functional teams, where you provide insightful and constructive feedback to improve the overall user experience. 

  • You are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are excellent for this role, ideally while highlighting your skills by showcasing past or current projects in a portfolio.
