Web Developer (WordPress, UX/ UI Design)
Full time / part time (min. 30h) - m/w/d 
Location: Vienna / Berlin / Remote
 
Your future role
We are looking for a talented Web Developer (WordPress, UX/UI Design) who will be responsible for designing and executing best-in-class new website builds as well as feature and template updates to our websites. 
It’s an opportunity to work on cool projects, learn from some seriously passionate colleagues and expand your skillset.
What you will do:
<ul>
<li>Implementation of digital projects from briefing to go live</li>
<li>Design and implementation of wireframes, UI / UX design</li>
<li>Setup and configuration of WordPress</li>
<li>Frontend development</li>
<li>Creation of web templates</li>
<li>Working as an interface between Customer Success and the in-house IT department</li>
<li>Monitoring and implementation of updates</li>
<li>Plugin and module extensions</li>
<li>Ongoing support &amp; evaluations of our websites</li>
</ul>
 
You bring…
<ul>
<li>Completed graphic training in the field of graphic design / web design / web development</li>
<li>2+ years of professional and project experience in comparable positions</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript</li>
<li>Practical experience with content management systems (ideally WordPress)</li>
<li>Very good sense for usability and screen design</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge in the design of responsive websites and web applications</li>
<li>Confident handling of Figma and React</li>
<li>Independent work and creative problem solving when implementing projects</li>
<li>Fluent in English and German</li>
</ul>

 As a Graphic Design Working Student you will support our Communications &amp; Marketing team in creating beautiful design solutions within a fast moving, agile environment. You are empathetic, have great organisational skills and an ability to understand how to make a complex product look and feel great with simple solutions. You have a passion for graphic design and visual arts, and you are great at communicating your design choices. 
<h3>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities </h3>

Create and communicate concepts ideas from first moods to final deliverables.  
</li>
<li>
Apply visual consistency and continuity of brand across a variety of deliverables.   
</li>
<li>
Apply your design skills, creativity and knowledge to create visual assets such as icons and illustrations for our brand.

<li>
Experiment with graphics in the 4th dimension by creating simple yet engaging animations.  
</li>
<li>
Work closely with other departments and external partners advocating for Fernride design guidelines and brand identity with confidence.

Collaborate with other teams from product and operations to HR and engineering to create engaging print and digital materials.

<h2>WHO YOU ARE</h2>
<ul>
<li>
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 
</li>
<li>
Excellent skills in InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite tools and are comfortable designing (and sometimes prototyping) with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch. 
</li>
<li>
Some first experience and interest in motion graphics.  
</li>
<li>
Passion for design and visual trends, understanding different format and content requirement of various channels. 
</li>
<li>
You enjoy being part of collaborative cross-functional teams, where you provide insightful and constructive feedback to improve the overall user experience. 
</li>
<li>
You are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are excellent for this role, ideally while highlighting your skills by showcasing past or current projects in a portfolio.
