Your mission 

As a Team Lead in the Anti-Financial Crime Area at Bitpanda, you will be closely supporting our AML Officer and Management in completing their regulatory tasks while leading a team of diverse talent and simultaneously working on projects that support Bitpanda’s. Your main mission will be the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions circumvention and fraud.

Your focus

    • Lead a team of Anti-Financial Crime experts successfully
    • Train and develop the team’s talents
    • Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and to identify hidden risks and non-conformity issues
    • Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
    • Draft, modify and implement company and internal policies and processes
    • Understand and stay up to date with relevant laws, regulatory developments, trends and best practices, as well as assess the potential impact of these changes on organisational processes
    • Draft appropriate compliance reports for management and external stakeholders
    • Evaluate and improve compliance tools and software

Why you

    • Experience in leading a team in the AFC area, preferably in a company licensed by a Financial Market Authority
    • Experienced in working with Austrian law, esp. FmGWG
    • Degree in Law, Business Administration or a comparable field
    • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
    • Methodical and diligent, with outstanding planning abilities
    • An analytical mind, able to understand the complexities of procedures and regulations
    • Fluent in German and English
    • Excellent communication skills
