Accurx is where conversations happen with and about patients. Our software helps doctors, nurses, pharmacists and administrators and other professionals to seamlessly connect with both patients and each other.

We’re passionate about staying close to our users, which is why everyone at Accurx visits a GP practice at least twice a quarter to understand how a practice runs, the difficulties they face with technologies and how we can help.

Life as a Policy Manager at Accurx

As a Policy Manager, you will manage the delivery of Policy projects, which seek to provide insight about and influence decisions in the health system - in line with Accurx’s vision and strategy.

The Policy team at Accurx works to influence and provide insight about the health and care system we serve. It collaborates with all areas of the Accurx business to build relationships with important stakeholders in central bodies and government, and shape the environment we operate in. We advocate for solutions in the interests of Accurx and the staff and patients that use our software.

You will Influence digital health policy and the environment Accurx operates in by:

  • Developing policy goals for parts of the Accurx business
  • Deliver projects designed to advocate for these goals
  • Representing Accurx to NHS England, government officials and others influencing policy.

You will provide insight to Accurx by:

  • Monitoring policy developments like funding or guidance changes from NHS England or government.
  • Proactively identifying significant policy issues likely to affect Accurx, and engaging with teams to address and respond to them
  • Building networks for policy insight ****in the health and social care sector

You will work as part of a team that provides influence and insight on the health system in England by:

  • Helping to set the Policy strategy, aligned to the company’s strategy
  • Working with external partners and the Accurx user community as necessary to achieve Accurx’s influencing goals
  • Build relationships with product teams, communications and company leadership as required

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

  • Experience in government and policymaking, or in a role influencing policy from the private or charity sectors
  • Strong understanding of policy and strategy in UK healthcare sector(s)
    • Acute hospital understanding, experience and networks desirable
  • Experience working across multiple functions in an organisation, collaborating with others to successfully implement programs and initiatives; history of successful cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Ability to quickly develop understanding of a new policy area and then appraise and distil the implications of latest developments
  • Desirable: experience with research and analysis techniques (either quantitative or qualitative)
  • Strong communication skills, especially written briefings and presentations
  • Strong project management skills, pulling together key partners in the business
  • You're mission-driven and care about positively impacting the lives of billions
  • You're excited by change and a fast-paced learning environment
  • You love solving problems, and relish the constant challenges a startup throws your way
  • You're an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex to simple, bringing your ideas to life

Salary & Benefits package:

  • £50,000 - 65,000 + meaningful share options of £31,500
