Take our People Ops. team to the next level as our first dedicated specialist in this position and support out team as we double our headcount (30 > 60 over the next 12 months). You'll have the opportunity to
Contribute to the evolution of our People Ops. team by bringing your knowledge and passion to support Upvengers from the moment they sign their contract, through to when they leave for their next chapter. While we already have the basics in place, you'll have the chance to influence and improve how we support our team with access to information via our Knowledge Base (Slite), self-serve guides as well as providing a healthy balance of personal touch points. Additionally, you can expect to take ownership of our HRIS, contract creation & amendments, supporting new hires when relocating and, all ongoing support questions ranging from time-off requests, audits and compliance.
Having already gained experience running a People Ops function alone, or part of a small team, you bring a service-orientated mindset by putting the employee experience front and centre with everything you do. You are sensitive to the needs of employees and are adept at handling and resolving a broad range of German employment topics. You are open minded and flexible to the changing nature of your role and are equally at home handling the regular cycles of work (payroll prep, contract creation etc) as you are when dealing with ad-hoc and spontaneous requests. Additionally, you're organised, structured in your approach and also bring a healthy level of curiosity that helps you challenge and improve the status quo.
Due to the nature of the work, you'll need to be fluent in German.
